Day Two

Leh - Shy Thiksey/ and Stok Palace – Leh

After breakfast visit the monasteries of Shey, Thiksey, and Stok Palace.
Shey – it was the ancient capital of Ladakh and even after Singge Namgyal built the more imposing palace at Leh, the kings continued to regard Shey, as their real home. The importance which was attached to Shey - the seat of Ladakh's heartland - is attested by the enormous number of Chorten about the village, particularly around the palace complex and barren plain to the north of the road. 
Thiksey – is one of the largest and most impressive Gompas. There are several temples in this Gompa containing images, stupas and exquisite wall paintings. It also houses a two - storied statue of Buddha which has the main prayer hall around its shoulder.

Day Three

Local Sightseeing - Leh

After Breakfast leave visit Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill & Sangam View where Indus & Zanskar River meet. Drive back to Leh Afternoon visit to Shanti Stupa & Leh palace.
Shanti Stupa : Located on the hilltop at Changspa. The Stupa was constructed by a Japanese Buddhist organization, known as 'The Japanese for World Peace'. The aim behind the construction of the Stupa was to commemorate 2500 years of Buddhism and to promote World Peace.
Leh Palace: Built in the 17th century, it was built as the residential palace for the King Singge Namgyal. Much smaller but resembling the Potala in Lhasa, Leh Palace is now in ruins. It has nine storeys and has been deserted since the royal family shifted to the Stok Palace in 1830s. nine storey, but it is now dilapidated and deserted. It was the home of the royal family until they were exiled to Stok in the 1830s.

Day Four

leh - Nubra

After breakfast at hotel drive towards Nubra valley via Khardungla pass(18350 feet) by surface passing thru Horzey & Gangles Village. On arrival in Nubra Valley, drive to diskit, visit Deskit, the HQ town of Nubra Valley. Driving for 30 Kms takes to Khalsar Bridge. Visit desklit monastry. Further drive from Deskit to Hunder, you may see a few Double Humped, Hairy and Bactrian Camels.

Day Five

Full day excursion to Turtuk

Turtuk-village 80 kms from Hunder.Turtuk in Ladakh is a picturesque border village situated along the famous Silk Route that has quite a past. Most recently, Turktuk was one of the biggest stages of the Kargil war in 1999 when Pakistan troopers occupied a small area on the ridges overlooking Turtuk.Locals depend on farming and providing mules and porters to the Indian Army the five villages of Turtuk, Tyakshi, Thang,Pachathang and Chalunka were in PoK till the 1971 war.

Day Six

Nubra - Pangong via Shyok

Pangong Lake 150 km from Leh is a beautiful lake. The name Pangong is derived from the Tibetan word Banggong Co meaning long, narrow, enchanted lake. There is a narrow ramp-like formation of land that runs into the lake which is a favorite among tourists and photographers.
Due to the saltiness in the water of the lake, there is very less micro-vegetation. There are no fish or other aquatic life in the lake, except for some small crustaceans. However, numerous ducks and gulls over and on the lake surface can be spotted in plenty. There are some species of scrub and perennial herbs that grow in the marshes around the lake.

Day Seven

Pangong - Tsomoriri

Early morning drive along Indus River into Rupshu Valley. A nice wilderness drives upto Tso-Moriri Lake. Arrive Tsomoriri by late noon and check-in the camp. and overnight at the tented Camp at Korzok village by Lake side, Korzok is the only village and one of the most high altitude settlements in Ladakh. Today you shall explore the Lake area and we suggest you to take a nice walk along the lake shores. Tso Moriri Lake is a famous bird watching sanctuary so carry your binocular which shall be very helpful.

Day Eight

Tsomoriri - Tsokar Lake – Leh

After breakfast proceed from Tsomoriri to Leh Tsokar Lake.
